HITCON Cyber Range
HITCON Cyber Range is a competition designed for the information security personnel of international enterprises and associations. It focuses on the ability to handle incidents within the context of information security threats, with the objective of strengthening the corporate environment through practical experience.
This competition is one of Taiwan's most challenging blue team (defensive) cybersecurity contests and serves as an excellent platform for nurturing outstanding cybersecurity talent.
The competition not only tests the technical prowess and teamwork of participating teams but, more importantly, cultivates their practical experience and defensive skills. Through this, participants become familiar with the investigation processes and techniques for cybersecurity incidents. HITCON Cyber Range is a cyber threat defense competition designed to simulate real attack scenarios.
Participants need to analyze log data from network devices, servers (including Linux and Windows systems), and client endpoints to identify suspicious behaviors and reconstruct attack paths, finding events that truly constitute threats and their corresponding Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).

The finals will be an in-person competition emphasizing team collaboration and response capabilities. Participants will face more complex scenarios and need to complete various investigation and handling tasks within a limited time.
The competition content may include incident investigation, hands-on operations, environment configuration adjustments, rule writing, and defense reinforcement challenges, testing teams' response capabilities and technical judgment across multiple attack and defense dimensions.
